GDP vs Dirty Money

There is no doubt that in order for music to survive, genres are going to have cross paths and link together. GDP and Dirty Money are doing just that. First, they are releasing a four song split 7inch on Division East/Thunderstruck Records. To promote their vinyl, both acts have hit the road.

First, the vinyl. You can stream the entire four song effort by logging on to Pure Volume. Each act has contributed two songs. Florida punk rockers Dirty Money have thrown down "Not Alone" and "Weary Nights" while GDP, along with DJ Prime, have contributed "Succumb" and "Decades."

Check out GDP's "Succumb" video:

The tour will focus mainly on the eastern half of the US with the lone exception being shops in Santa Fe, NM, and Oklahoma City.

STS9

For those uninformed, that stands for Sound Tribe Sector 9. Remember that name because I can almost guarantee that you will hear it frequently over this coming summer.

XLR8R Magazine have dubbed STS9 "...unique collection of artists and musicians" while proclaiming the band "...one of the country's most intriguing, innovative outfits around." To say that STS9 are hard working would actually be a gross understatement. To start, the band has digitally released "Shock Doctrine," the first single off their forthcoming Peaceblaster release. You can download the single by going over the band's website, which happen to be their own label, 1320 Records.

Beginning in July, following the release of Peaceblaster, STS9 will take to the road with Chicago's Umphrey's McGee for a US tour which will take them from coast to coast. Both bands have also slotted after party shows along the way. The tour is scheduled to end with two shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.

Check out the band's website, www.sts9.com, and go to their COMMUNITY PAGE, where you will find organizations that the band is either personally involved in and/or supports.
